Move your body and feel better with me.

I’m a San Francisco-based teacher with a fun, modern approach to movement. My classes are a yoga-ish and Pilates-informed practice. There are notes of dance, barre, daily human movement, and strength training. It all blends together into something uniquely my own— but really, it's your own. It's a space for your exploration, joy, and self-connection.

At the core of everything I do is freedom. I want you to remember you're free. You're not in trouble, you're not doing anything wrong. This is all made up! You can do whatever you want.

And yet, it's so easy to forget that.

So, I'm here to remind you. Over and over again.

You can trust yourself.

No one knows how to take care of you better than you.

And situated right next to my freedom-loving center is fun. Life is so short, let's let our movement practice be FUN.

As Cape Cod native, I was raised by East Coast synicism.  And we aren't the most gentle communicators, so learning and now teaching non-violent communication has been transformative for my whole life.

I am also deeply influenced by trauma-informed yoga. I always prioritize creating a safe and empowering environment. My goal is for you to feel free, have fun, and discover a soft place to land within yourself. Let’s move together in ways that challenge, delight, and bring you home to your body.

I have a bad habit of putting many things into the “I’ll be happy when” pile. I hate being told what to do. I don’t believe we ever arrive in the holy land of fully “healed.” I still struggle with loving myself and feeling confident. I practice and teach nonviolent communication and then yell at my partner and kids.

Why would I tell you this? Because it’s the truth. And, I don’t enjoy the power dynamics in a teacher/student relationship. I want you to know that I’ll never tell you what to do or assume I know what’s best. I’m right beside you, working on what it means to be diagnosed with the human condition and accept it.

What helps me the most is keeping a sense of humor, and moving my body to good music with lots of freedom to explore how I want to take care of myself. That’s the heart of Living Room Yoga. It’s not about striving to become someone else or rejecting the parts of yourself that feel imperfect. It’s about letting go of opposition—stepping away from the endless chase to “fix” or “improve”—and discovering how to truly be at home in your body and your life, just as you are.
